We regularly get asked about our BDSM / KINK services – this blog post explores the difference between “kink style” and proper BDSM bookings.
For the Experienced
Head to the CLUB 687 website.
CLUB 687 operates as a private adult function venue – complete with additional BDSM equipment and facilities. We do not run the venue as a conventional brothel, strip club, function venue or dungeon as we offer bespoke adult appointments – tailored entirely to a client’s needs.
We find that CLUB 687 clients value the greater privacy and exclusivity that this affords.
Through this venue, we are also able to put clients in contact with the best suited professional Dommes/Doms that can utilise the space and offer specific services to suit their needs.
For those new to the area and looking to get involved with the Newcastle BDSM community, we do partner with Labyrinth to offer functions and classes at the CLUB687 venue also (click the “Newcastle BDSM Events” link below for more info).

For the Novice
There is a very marked difference when we talk about a “kink style” or “fetish style” service and a proper BDSM service.
The main difference is the level of experience and training by the service provider. Proper BDSM services are conducted by fully trained Dommes/Doms who have the knowledge and experience to properly guide a booking and ensure your safety and comfort during the session.
The benefit of having someone fully trained is also that they have the experience to be able to play a lot more intuitively (within prediscussed soft and hard boundaries) which means less direction on your part – they can really guide you and help you explore kinks and fetishes you are inexperienced in.
“Kink style” or “fetish style” bookings may be dabbled in with a traditional full service provider as they do not require much equipment or training and as such present with a lot less risk.
It really depends on what type of service you are after as for the best suited for the booking.
Many Dommes/Doms do not offer full-service (sex) as part of their list of services and many traditional full-service providers do not have the skills or training to be able to perform a proper BDSM booking – picking the right provider is essential to ensuring the most satisfying and pleasurable experience so let CLUB687 help you find the right lady today!

Why you should book a proper Domme…
The major issue with booking an inexperienced service provider is safety.
A proper domme generally trains for a year (or much longer, depending on their speciality) in the art, including harm and injury mitigation plans and tactics – as well as implement very stringent toy/equipment hygiene habits.
A lot of BDSM practices have an inherent risk of injury, sometimes in ways not immediately apparent to inexperienced participants – activities such as bondage can create life-threatening situations in the case of medical emergencies. Trained dommes mitigate these risks by having safety equipment and practices in place.
Professional Dommes also operate on the principles of safe, sane and consensual play. Inexperienced service providers may not have a full understanding of BDSM and how to operate in this manner.
Why you can still have kinky play with a conventional full-service provider…
A lot of times when we receive calls from clients wanting to “try BDSM”, we try and gauge what exactly they mean by BDSM as it’s such a broad term. Usually, when these types of calls are actually requesting either a PSE (Porn Star Experience) service or light BDSM.
Light BDSM is sexual play that incorporates elements of BDSM, generally with minimal equipment or risk. Light spanking, hair pulling, light restraints (like a scarf, tie or basic handcuffs around wrists) would fall into this category.
Other low-risk light-BDSM/fetish play such as foot fetish, tickling, sploshing, etc. can also be provided by a conventional full-service provider as they require little to no equipment/setup and have limited safety risks involved.
Finding the best Domme/Dom…
Ask where a provider has trained or what training they have received – professionals will have extensive training under other Dommes/Doms, working at established dungeons or venues.
Generally they will have an extensive online presence and service list available. It is time consuming and costly to become a professional Domme/Dom, so it really is a labour of love for the profession – one that can’t just be thrown together last minute.
Professional Dommes/Doms also have extensive equipment. After detailing the type of booking you are interested in,
